The Old Naval Hospital

Navy Nurse Corps Association (NNCA) tour of the Old Naval Hospital

Over 800 members of The Navy Nurse Corps Association (NNCA), a national organization of retired, active duty, reserve, and former Navy Nurse Corps Officers, recently celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Navy Nurse Corps, April 30 to May 3, 2008 in Washington, DC. Over 50 NNCA members, family and friends are shown here on the steps of the Old Naval Hospital during a “History of the Navy in DC” Tour. Dan Daly provided background support for planning, and Karl and Carol Kindel provided expert historical narration on all three tour days. The Old Naval Hospital was the absolute highlight of the tour and a milestone of the 100th anniversary celebration. The Navy Nurse Corps Association wishes to thank The Friends of the Old Naval Hospital and all those who supported this wonderful and very special opportunity.
