Benjamin Drummond - The First Patient

1868 Report of Medical Survey

Copy of the "REPORT OF MEDICAL SURVEY" conducted on March 17, 1868, confirming that Benjamin Drummond was was "disabled to the extent of one half of a total disability" from his wound received on January 21, 1863, when he was shot during the capture of the USS Morning Light by Confederate cutters in the Gulf of Mexico near Sabine Pass, Texas. This is a digital copy of the original record held by the National Archives.
