Sir:

Agreeably to your request I herewith give my terms for making the design, the necessary ? specifications to for the proposed Hospital Building for the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. ? to the design presented by me dated March ? 1866 also for advertising for and receiving proposals for its construction, making contracts therefore and doing and performing all that is incumbent upon an architect in superintending its construction and completion in the best manner, which for the above sum $3500.00 with the understanding that I am ? to Annapolis, whenever my presence is required there on this business, the actual expenses of these journeys from the time of leaving home until my return ?, as well as the printing of advertisements and lithographing or photo ? drawings and is to be paid by the government as incidental expenses of the work.
